## Masimo Corporation experiencing operational delays because of a cyberattack!
[Masimo Corporation](https://www.annualreports.com/Company/masimo-corporation), a reputed medical device manufacturing company, has faced a cyberattack recently. As a result, its production operations have been affected. This \*\*California-based medical technology as well as consumer [electronics manufacturer](https://www.livemint.com/companies/news/electronics-manufacturer-indkal-technologies-raising-100-million-by-june-11743075442833.html) is popular for products like brain function monitors, [pulse oximeters](https://www.medtechdive.com/news/fda-pulse-oximeter-guidance-uncertain-trump/742006/), gas monitoring solutions, and so on. It employs over 3600 employees around the world.
Masimo has informed the \*\*USA authorities and filed the [Form 8-K](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form%5F8-K) filing. As per the medical equipment manufacturing company, cybercrooks targeted them on 27th April, 2025\. Because of the cyber mishap, they are facing major delays in manufacturing as well as [business operations](https://dealhub.io/glossary/business-operations/). Multiple facilities under Masimo Corporation are operating more slowly than normal. _As a result, currently, they are unable to process, fulfil, and ship all the customer orders in time_.

## Britain Facing a Steep Surge in Cyberattacks Due to Increased AI adoption!
Increased AI integration is resulting in a sudden surge in incidents of cyberattacks across Britain. \*\*Senior minister Pat McFadden is concerned about the entire [AI adoption issue](https://www.reuters.com/business/retail-consumer/britain-face-more-cyberattacks-ai-adoption-grows-minister-says-2025-05-07/). _They believe that this AI adoption will not only boost the frequency of the cyberattacks but also the intensity of the attacks_.

[Marks & Spencer](https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/5/2/harrods-ms-hit-by-cyberattack-what-happened-whos-behind-it) has not yet been able to restore their **online fashion orders**.
They have not yet shared details about the type of cyberattacks they experienced. Cybersecurity experts believe that only by matching the pace of the threat can attackers stay \*\*safe and secure in this digital landscape.
While speaking at a cybersecurity event of NCSC 2025, \*\*McFadden stated that 2024 experienced as many as 2000 threat attacks. _Out of these, 90 turned out to be ‘significant’ while the 12 were considered to be at ‘the very top end of severity’_.
Experts urge everyone to see the recent threat attacks as a wake-up call. He believes that both the public and private sectors must take cyberattacks seriously and prepare to fight against AI-backed cyberattacks.
Later this year, the government is planning to come up with bolstered \*\*legislation and strategies designed to strengthen the cybersecurity system.

## Co-op stores in Scotland being targeted by cyberattackers!
The co-op stores across Scotland’s islands are facing cyberattacks. As a result, they are running out of fresh food supplies. They have informed the [BBC](https://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/politics/2025/05/07/joe-biden-tells-bbc-donald-trump-is-appeasing-russia/83493142007/) that due to the recent incidents of cyberattacks, they have lost a ‘significant’ amount of customer data. The \*\*co-op spokesperson stated that the inventory supplies to these stores are being affected because of the [cyber mishap](https://thehackernews.com/2024/07/cybercriminals-exploit-crowdstrike.html). They also said that their staff have been working continuously to restore the system and end the disruption at the earliest.
The Co-ops are running low on fresh milk. There are absolutely no vegetables, meat, or dairy products. [Co-ops](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp8v821yqm0o) in \*\*Kyle and Broadford are also facing similar situations.
Although they \*\*expect fresh deliveries to arrive soon, the impact of the cyberattack can’t be denied completely.
