## Was ist BIMI?

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) ist ein E-Mail-Standard, der es Organisationen ermöglicht, ihr Markenlogo neben authentifizierten E-Mails in unterstützenden E-Mail-Clients wie Gmail, Apple Mail und Yahoo Mail anzuzeigen.

Wenn ein Empfänger Ihr Logo neben Ihrer E-Mail sieht, baut das sofort Vertrauen und Wiedererkennung auf. BIMI funktioniert durch Veröffentlichung eines DNS-TXT-Eintrags bei `default._bimi.ihredomain.de`, der auf Ihr SVG-Logo und optional ein Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) verweist.

BIMI erfordert eine gültige DMARC-Richtlinie auf Durchsetzungsebene (`p=quarantine` oder `p=reject`) und ist damit der Schlussstein einer vollständigen E-Mail-Authentifizierungskonfiguration.

## Was ist ein Verified Mark Certificate (VMC)?

Ein VMC ist ein digitales Zertifikat, das beweist, dass Sie das über BIMI angezeigte Logo rechtmäßig besitzen. Es wird von Zertifizierungsstellen wie DigiCert oder Entrust nach Überprüfung Ihrer Markenregistrierung ausgestellt.

### Warum VMC wichtig ist

Gmail erfordert ein VMC zur Anzeige von BIMI-Logos. Ohne es erscheint Ihr Logo möglicherweise in Apple Mail und Yahoo Mail, aber nicht in Gmail - dem weltweit beliebtesten E-Mail-Client mit über 1,8 Milliarden Nutzern.

## BIMI-Logo-Anforderungen

### SVG Tiny PS-Format

Ihr Logo muss im SVG Tiny Portable/Secure-Format (SVG Tiny PS) vorliegen - ein eingeschränktes SVG-Profil, das eingebettete Skripte oder externe Referenzen verhindert.

### Quadratisches Seitenverhältnis

Das Logo sollte perfekt quadratisch mit einem zentrierten Design sein. E-Mail-Clients zeigen es in einem kreisförmigen Ausschnitt an, halten Sie also wichtige Elemente von den Rändern fern.

### HTTPS-Hosting

Das Logo muss über HTTPS von einer öffentlich zugänglichen URL bereitgestellt werden. Der Server muss Cross-Origin-Zugriff erlauben, damit E-Mail-Clients das Logo abrufen können.

### DMARC auf Durchsetzungsebene

Ihre Domain muss eine DMARC-Richtlinie von `quarantine` oder `reject` haben. BIMI funktioniert nicht mit `p=none`.

### "A great solution to a common email problem."

I have been using them for the last month after my Google business email started giving DMARC errors. I didn't even know what it meant at that time. After a little googling I found that people can spoof it as well. So far so good — the best thing is it protects every email.
