## Comprendere i protocolli di autenticazione email

### SPF (Sender Policy Framework)

SPF specifica quali server di posta sono autorizzati a inviare email per il tuo dominio. Funziona pubblicando un record DNS TXT che elenca gli indirizzi IP e i nomi host approvati. I server destinatari controllano questo record per verificare che la posta in arrivo provenga da una fonte autorizzata.

### DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication)

DMARC collega SPF e DKIM e indica ai server di posta destinatari cosa fare quando nessuno dei due metodi di autenticazione supera il controllo: rifiutare, mettere in quarantena o consentire il messaggio. Abilita inoltre i rapporti aggregati e forensi affinché i proprietari del dominio possano monitorare i risultati dell'autenticazione. ### BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification)

BIMI consente alle organizzazioni di mostrare il logo del proprio marchio accanto alle email autenticate nei client di posta compatibili. Richiede una politica DMARC valida (quarantine o reject) e, facoltativamente, un Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) per la visualizzazione del logo in Gmail e Apple Mail.

### MTA-STS (Mail Transfer Agent Strict Transport Security)

MTA-STS comunica ai server di posta mittenti che il tuo dominio richiede la crittografia TLS per la consegna delle email. Previene gli attacchi di downgrade e le intercettazioni man-in-the-middle pubblicando un record DNS e un file di politica che impongono connessioni crittografate.

### TLS-RPT (TLS Reporting)

TLS-RPT consente ai server di posta destinatari di segnalarti gli errori di connessione TLS. Combinato con MTA-STS, offre visibilità sui problemi di consegna causati da errori di certificato, certificati scaduti o crittografia mal configurata.

### "A great solution to a common email problem."

I have been using them for the last month after my Google business email started giving DMARC errors. I didn't even know what it meant at that time. After a little googling I found that people can spoof it as well. So far so good — the best thing is it protects every email.
