## Controleer uw BIMI-record

Voer uw domein in om uw BIMI-configuratie te analyseren, een voorbeeld van uw logo te bekijken en de VMC-status te verifiëren.

## Wat is BIMI?

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is een e-mailstandaard waarmee organisaties hun merklogo naast geauthenticeerde e-mails kunnen tonen in ondersteunende e-mailclients zoals Gmail, Apple Mail en Yahoo Mail.

Wanneer een ontvanger uw logo naast uw e-mail ziet, wekt dat direct vertrouwen en herkenning. BIMI werkt door een DNS-TXT-record te publiceren op `default._bimi.yourdomain.com` dat verwijst naar uw SVG-logo en optioneel naar een Verified Mark Certificate (VMC).

BIMI vereist een geldig [DMARC-beleid](/nl/dmarc-beleid/) op handhavingsniveau (`p=quarantine` of `p=reject`), waardoor het de sluitsteen vormt van een volledige e-mailauthenticatie-opzet. Bent u nieuw met de standaard? Begin dan met [wat is DMARC](/nl/wat-is-dmarc/).

## Wat is een Verified Mark Certificate (VMC)?

### Wat een VMC doet

Een VMC is een digitaal certificaat dat aantoont dat u het via BIMI weergegeven logo wettelijk in eigendom hebt. Het wordt uitgegeven door certificaatautoriteiten zoals DigiCert of Entrust na verificatie van uw merkregistratie.

### Waarom een VMC belangrijk is

Gmail vereist een VMC om BIMI-logo's weer te geven. Zonder VMC verschijnt uw logo mogelijk wel in Apple Mail en Yahoo Mail, maar niet in Gmail - 's werelds populairste e-mailclient met meer dan 1,8 miljard gebruikers.

## Vereisten voor het BIMI-logo

### SVG Tiny PS-formaat

Uw logo moet in het formaat SVG Tiny Portable/Secure (SVG Tiny PS) zijn - een beperkt SVG-profiel dat ingesloten scripts of externe verwijzingen voorkomt.

### Vierkante beeldverhouding

Het logo moet perfect vierkant zijn met een gecentreerd ontwerp. E-mailclients tonen het in een cirkelvormige uitsnede, dus houd belangrijke elementen weg van de randen.

### HTTPS-hosting

Het logo moet via HTTPS worden aangeboden vanaf een openbaar toegankelijke URL. De server moet cross-origin toegang toestaan zodat e-mailclients het logo kunnen ophalen.

### DMARC op handhavingsniveau

Uw domein moet een DMARC-beleid van `quarantine` of `reject` hebben. BIMI werkt niet met `p=none`.

## BIMI vereist DMARC-handhaving

DMARC Report bewaakt uw authenticatie en helpt u p=reject te bereiken - het DMARC-beleidsniveau dat vereist is voor de weergave van het BIMI-logo.

### "A great solution to a common email problem."

I have been using them for the last month after my Google business email started giving DMARC errors. I didn't even know what it meant at that time. After a little googling I found that people can spoof it as well. So far so good — the best thing is it protects every email.
